Our Ofsted and SIAMS reports
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills)
Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in March 2024, and it found that our school continues to be a 'Good' school.
In particular, the report celebrates that:
- 'Pupils are confident and independent at this aspirational school.'
- 'Pupils are proud members of the school community and work hard to meet teachers’ high expectations.'
- 'The school has considered the information and skills that pupils have to learn thoughtfully.'
- 'The school has made the personal development of pupils a priority.'

Our previous visit from Ofsted was in November 2018.
Some of the highlights of this report were:
- ‘Leaders are brave and uncompromising in pursuing the values of the school.'
- ‘Pupils thrive in the supportive atmosphere of the school.’
- ‘Parents and carers value the community feel of the school’
- 'Pupils relish the exciting opportunities provided by the rich curriculum.’

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)
As we are a Church of England school, we receive an additional inspection to measure our impact in aspects relating to our Church school status.
In May 2026 we received a judgement that 'The Royal Kent Church of England Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish'.
Some of the highlights of the report are:
- A Living Vision: Our vision, Building Firm Foundations Together, is described as the ‘bedrock’ of daily life. It is lived out through our values of cognisance, commitment, compassion, courage, and creativity.
- A Caring Environment: The inspector noted our close-knit community, specifically praising our buddy systems and the ‘highly effective and greatly valued’ partnership between the school and the clergy.
- Inclusion and Dignity: The school has been recognised for creating a culture where every individual is known, valued, and treated with dignity.
- Curriculum and Growth: Our knowledge-rich curriculum and enrichment opportunities were noted for broadening horizons and nurturing a ‘deep, sustained curiosity of the world.’
- Staff Excellence: The report commends our staff’s commitment to professional development and the supportive environment that enhances both practice and wellbeing.
